Inside Out Theatre and Quest School are partnering for Most Imaginary Costumes, where professional designers will collaborate with kids with disabilities to make their wildest costume ideas come to life!

Most Imaginary Costumes is a community event connected to Most Imaginary Worlds, a Betty Mitchell Award nominated TYA play by Inside Out and Quest Theatre (no relation to Quest School).
One from Elementary, one Junior High, and one High School student will be chosen through random draw and paired with a designer. The designers and Inside Out staff will visit the school in early October to dream and scheme up the halloween costume of their dreams!

The designers will then build the costumes, with support from Inside Out staff.

On Halloween, Thursday October 31st, the designers and Inside Out staff will return to the school with the costumes, with a school wide party, photo shoot, and costume parade to follow!

Submission Guidelines:

To submit please e-mail Youth Program Coordinator Dylan Thomas-Bouchier Dylan@insideouttheatre.com  with the following information:

  • a note about why you’re interested in this project

  • samples of your work (which could be a portfolio, example photos of past work, website link, etc).

We’ll respond to all submissions and invite selected designers to an interview (online or in person, whichever is more accessible to you). We’re looking for three costume designers in total.
