Elements of theatre Mondays 10:00 - 11:00 AM
Sept 23rd - dec 9th

This intro class is for anyone interested in delving into the various elements of theatre.
Participants will explore a variety of exercises related to movement, voice, acting, playwriting, costumes, masks and puppets. In this fun and interactive class participants will investigate how these elements are interconnected and the value each element adds to the process of making theatre.

Introduction To Film Acting Mondays 1:00 - 2:00 pM
Sept 23rd - dec 9th

Experience the tips and tricks to shine in front of the video camera. Participants will learn the elements of acting for film through practicing auditions, performing scenes, and creating their own short movie.

Intro to playwriting Mondays 2:30 - 3:30 pM
Sept 23rd - dec 9th

Take a look at the craft of writing for theatre. Participants will explore how to structure a story, create interesting characters and conflict, write dialogue, and turn their great ideas into a play. (Please note, this course involves independent writing outside and during classes. Please contact Inside Out about accessibility needs, such as speech to text, if applicable.)

Physical elements WEDNESDAYS 10:00 - 11:00 AM
oct 9th - dec 11th

This program is very similar to Elements of Theatre, with slightly more focus on physical theatre.

This course is suitable for all levels of experience and ability, and is also a great choice for participants who may primarily express themselves non-verbally.

intro to voice acting WEDNESDAYS 11:15 - 12:15 AM
oct 9th - dec 11th


Play with making characters with your voice, creating sound effects, how to work with a microphone, and get a chance to hear your voice recorded. Participants will work towards creating a radio play or voice demo.


All sessions will take place at the Inside Out Theatre Community Arts Space in Eau Claire Market - Main floor - 200 Barclay Parade SW


    Accessible Session Fees

Inside Out Theatre offers a PAY-WHAT-YOU- CAN registration model. Inside Out Theatre works to remove barriers for our participants and that includes financial barriers. We invite participants to pay any amount for each ten-week sessions. We encourage choosing an amount that is meaningful to you and doesn’t put a financial strain on you or your family.

Cheques can be made payable to Inside Out Theatre. Receipts will be provided for all amounts.
