Outreach Coordinator & Chief Community Builder
Position: Outreach Coordinator, Community Builder
Timeframe: September 15th 2017 – December 30th 2017
*With the potential to renew contract in 2018, funding dependent.
Rate: 10hrs/week at $25/hr

What you will do:
Working closely with the Artist Director, you will lead the community outreach and community building activities for our Good Host Audience Inclusion program, our community based drama programs, and our professional productions and presentations.
You will create and enact an outreach strategy that will reach members of various communities and will engage Calgarians with and without disabilities. You will be the primary public contact for inquiries and feedback related to our programming. You will be Inside Out’s number one ambassador.
You will be tasked with creating ways for those connected to Inside Out to become their own community built on shared experiences and shared values.
This is a new position, your first task will be to collaborate with the Artistic Director to envision just how the position can take shape.
Flexibility to work both at the Inside Out office and independently offsite, the Inside Out office is in the Arts Commons building in downtown Calgary.
We’re looking for someone who:
Is Kind, Welcoming, and Personable.
Has a sincere interest in increasing inclusion and accessibility and a love of the arts.
Is comfortable and reliable working independently.
Is comfortable reaching out to people and groups in person, by phone, and digitally.
Is comfortable, maybe even excited by, using social media to build community.
Has experience with arts-based community engagement and/or promotions and marketing.
Has a familiarity with Microsoft Office, experience with basic graphic design tools (ie Canva, Mailchimp) an asset.

Board of directors ~ Treasurer position & Directors at large
Our Board of Directors give generously of their time and talents to provide governance and strategic leadership. They meet approximately 6 times per year in addition to sitting on at least one Board committee. Board terms are 1 year (renewable without limitation).
Board members oversee the company’s operations to ensure our mandate is being fulfilled, that we are fiscally responsible, and that we are seeking reasonable opportunities for growth. They also provide counsel on a variety of matters, such as artistic programming, management, communications, and fund development. They are an invaluable part of our team.
Ideally, you have expertise in fundraising, accounting and financial management, legal, marketing/communications, and or graphic/web design. We are looking for individuals of all abilities who may already have some Board experience and are comfortable with taking an Executive role if needed.
