An introduction to theatre for those who have not acted before but are interested in experimenting with theatre. Participants use theatrical methods to practice articulation speaking in front of others, develop group skills, work cooperatively, and learn to give thought and voice to their stories. The session ends with a final "rehearsed improvisation" performance for an invited audience.
A Second Look at Summer
This new summer program introduces participants to local theatre practitioners and their artistic techniques. Over the summer, the participants will take part in a number of workshops led by local theatre and music professionals. Program runs weekly from early June to mid-August.
Calgary Sign Theatre
Local Deaf and Hard of Hearing artists and theatre professionals provide training in Sign Poetry, Movement, Mime as well as opportunities to explore the use of lighting and masks.
Living Voices: The Recording Project
A recording project exploring speech development, articulation, vocal training and sound production. Participants will create, record, and mix music projects using accessible technology.
Scriptwriting & Touring Group
This is an advanced group with a focus on the development of scripts for public performance.
Groups run twice per year to coincide with the academic calendar for twelve weeks, with the exception of A Second Look At Summer.
